We hereby inform you that the 2019 Methanex -Taiyuan University of Technology (TYUT) Scholarship Award Ceremony will be held at 9:00 am on December 17 in the Conference Room 209 of the Guojiao Building at TYUT. Attending the ceremony will be Ms. Fan Chunyan and Ms. Gu Jing, Directors of Government Relations and Public Affairs of the Canadian Methanex Corporation, and Heads of International Cooperation Division, Student Affairs Division and related disciplines of TYUT. Students who are interested in the ceremony are welcome to attend.   

Methanex Corporation is the world’s largest supplier of methanol. Methanex adheres to the values of “honesty, trust, respect and professionalism”, and is a company full of responsibility and care. It has been eleventh years since the scholarship was jointly set up between the Canadian Methanex Corporation and TYUT. Over the past eleven years, a total of 75 students from different majors have won the scholarship and requited the society through their own efforts. 

The Methanex - TYUT Scholarship is mainly targeted at graduate students who major in energy and chemical engineering, and students with special financial difficulties at TYUT. The application for the scholarship starts in April every year, and students can prepare and submit the required materials then. An interview will then be organized to select the candidates for the scholarship in June. Each year, 5 outstanding students will be selected, and each student will be granted RMB9,000.
