On the afternoon of April 16, TYUT held a technical seminar on strategic cooperation projects with Yangquan Coal Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. (YCIG), Japan HighChem Group (HighChem), and East China Engineering Science and Technology Co. Ltd. (ECEC) in the meeting room on the sixth floor of Yifu Building at Yingxi Campus. After extensive communication and deep understanding with each other, the representatives of the four parties signed a quadripartite strategic cooperation framework agreement. Participants of the seminar include Zhai Hong, Party Committee Secretary and Board Chairman of YCIG; Wang Yongge, Deputy Party Committee Secretary, Vice Board Chairman and General Manager of YCIG; Feng Zhiwu, Chief Economist, Board Chairman and General Manager of the Chemical Industry Group of YCIG; Wu Yucheng, Party Committee Secretary of TYUT; Huang Qingxue, President of TYUT; Li Jinping, Deputy Party Committee Secretary of TYUT; Ushio Taka, President of HighChem; Gao Lei, Director and General Manager of Beijing Booming HighChem Technology Co., Ltd.; Wu Guangmei, Party Committee Secretary and Board Chairman of ECEC; Wu Yuefeng, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of ECEC. The heads of the related divisions or departments of TYUT, YCIG, HighChem and ECEC also took part in the meeting. Wu Yucheng hosted the seminar.
Huang Qingxue delivered a welcome speech on behalf of TYUT, extending a warm welcome to the leaders and guests from all units. He introduced the basic situation of TYUT and said that as a “double first-class” construction university rooted in Shanxi, TYUT always takes bottlenecks affecting the transformation, comprehensive reform and innovation of Shanxi as the main direction of its efforts. Focusing on the three strategic goals of transforming Shanxi into a “Demonstration Zone”, a “Pioneer of Energy Revolution” and a “New Opening Highland”, TYUT is doing its part to assist Shanxi Province in implementing its economic transformation and development strategy. TYUT has unique features and made great achievements in coal chemical industry, machinery manufacturing, new materials and coal mine safety. He believed that the in-depth cooperation between the four parties would help promote the economic construction and transformation of Shanxi, creating a win-win situation for all parties.
Feng Zhiwu, Gao Lei, Wu Yuefeng and Li Jinping signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement on behalf of their respective unit.
To further strengthen their cooperation in talent training, TYUT recruited Wang Yongge, Feng Zhiwu, Ushio Taka, Wu Guangmei, and Wu Yuefeng as visiting professors. Huang Qingxue awarded the letters of appointment to the newly recruited visiting professors.
In the seminar, Feng Zhiwu introduced the chemical project of YCIG. An Zhandong, the General Manager of the New Energy Division of YCIG, introduced the Hydrogen Energy Project of YCIG. Zheng Huiping, the General Manager of the Health Division, introduced the elderly care and health project of YCIG. Li Yongye, the head of the new business development section of HighChem, introduced the chemical projects of HighChem. They also had in-depth discussions with the heads and experts of relevant divisions of TYUT.
Wu Guangmei, Ushio Taka and Zhai Hong introduced their respective companies; and expressed the wish to deepen exchanges and cooperation, cultivate innovative industries, boost the conversion of old and new kinetic energy and jointly build R&D service platforms and bases for the transfer of innovation achievements by drawing on their respective advantages and focusing on the integration of production, teaching and research. They all expected that with this strategic cooperation, they could make their due contributions to the transformation and industrial upgrading of the coal-dependent economy of Shanxi.
In his concluding remarks, Wu Yucheng pointed out that the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement reflects the sincere and pragmatic cooperation spirit of the four parties and opens a new page in the cooperation between them. He hoped that with the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement and the holding of the technical seminar as an opportunity, the four parties could continue to reach consensus on cooperation and development, innovate cooperation and development mechanisms, and promote the implementation of the strategic cooperation agreement, so as to explore an integrated university-enterprise development road to enable more research results to bear fruits. He said that TYUT would thoroughly study and implement the cooperation agreed between the four parties and fully display its advantages in personnel training, research and development, and social services. He believed that through the sincere cooperation between the four parties, new and greater achievements would be made in training talents, carrying out technological innovations, serving enterprises for their transformation and development, promoting the “double first-class” construction of TYUT, and implementing the national innovation-driven development strategy.
