To further promote the “reform, innovation, and achievement” discussion and expedite the construction of TYUT’s high-level talent training system, From April 11 to 12, Vice President Liang Weiguo led the heads of the Academic Affairs Division, Finance Division, and International Cooperation Division to Shandong University, Weihai (SDUW) to conduct a special survey on Sino-foreign educational cooperation programs; and held talks with Xia Lidong, Vice President of SDUW.

Xia Lidong introduced in detail the international cooperation and exchanges of SDUW, especially its Sino-foreign education cooperation programs and the application for approval of its Sino-foreign educational institution. He believed that the running of Sino-foreign educational cooperation programs and the introduction of advanced foreign curriculum systems and excellent teachers will greatly help promote the internationalization of a university, improve its talent training quality and enhance its international reputation.

Liang Weiguo expressed his thanks to Xia Lidong for taking time out of his busy schedule to share the experience of SDUW in running Sino-foreign education cooperation programs, and briefly introduced TYUT’s efforts to implement its internationalization strategy and promote Sino-foreign education cooperation programs. In accordance with its strategic goals for development, he added, TYUT is now aligning with first-class universities and disciplines to promote Sino-foreign education cooperation programs, in order to make new breakthroughs at the earliest possible time.

In the meeting, the heads of the Academic Affairs Division, Finance Division, and International Cooperation Division of TYUT exchanged views with relevant personnel of the School of International Education and the Preparatory Office of Sino-Foreign Educational Institution of SDUW on details of the application for approval of the institution.

During the survey, Liang Weiguo and his delegation also learned about the hardware and software facilities of the Sino-foreign education institution of SDUW.
