Ho-sung Chang, President of Dankook University, visits TYUT

On March 19, a delegation led by Ho-sung Chang, President of Dankook University (DKU), visited TYUT. Wu Yucheng, TYUT Party Committee Secretary, received the delegation in meeting room 306 of the main office building at Yingxi campus. Huang Qingxue, President of TYUT, and Liu Runxiang, Deputy Party Committee Secretary of TYUT held talks with the delegation in meeting room 324 of the main office building. The head of the Academic Affairs Division, Graduate School, International Cooperation Division, College of Physical Education and College of International Education Exchange joined the discussion. The meeting was hosted by Liu Runxiang.

 

In the reception, Wu Yucheng briefly introduced the history, teaching faculty, featured disciplines and research achievements of TYUT, as well as its current exchanges and cooperation with universities in South Korea. He hoped that the two sides could further strengthen their communication and conduct cooperation at broader and higher level. Ho-sung Chang expressed his gratitude to TYUT for its warm reception and reviewed the bond of friendship between his family and China.

 

In the discussion after the reception, the meeting participants first watched a promotional video of TYUT together. Huang Qingxue then delivered a speech. He welcomed the delegation of DKU, reviewed the history of cooperation between TYUT and DKU, and spoke highly of the history, discipline construction and educational features of DKU. He further introduced the achievements that TYUT had made in recent years, especially the work done in promoting the internationalization of TYUT. He hoped that the two sides could continue to strengthen their cooperation so as to supplement one another and jointly build a bright future.

 

Ho-sung Chang introduced DKU and its exchange and cooperation with Chinese universities. He hoped that the two sides could exchange and cooperate with each other in more fields and at a higher level; and invited leaders and representatives of teachers and students in relevant disciplines from TYUT to participate in the exchanges and forums organized by DKU.

 

The two sides also had deep-going exchanges and discussions on topics such as talent training, exchange of teachers, sports and culture, etc.; and expressed their common expectations for and confidence in the further development of China-Korea educational exchanges.

 

After the meeting, the delegation visited TYUT’s history exhibition, College of Textile Engineering, College of Art and College of Physical Education.
