From October 9 to 11, the responsible persons of International Cooperation Division and College of International Education Exchange participated in the 2019 Academic Conference of the “Belt and Road” Research Branch of China Association of Higher Education (CAHE), which was held in Chongqing University.

During the conference, the representatives of TYUT listened to the keynote speeches delivered by the heads of the “Belt and Road” research think tanks of well-known universities on talent training, people-to-people exchanges, and international students studying in China etc. in the context of the “Belt and Road”; chaired a panel discussion as one of the conference conveners, introducing in detail the cooperation between TYUT and the countries along the “Belt and Road” and highlighting especially the education of international students and outstanding issues etc.; and interacted with conference participants to learn from each other. 

The “Belt and Road” Research Branch of CAHE was proposed and established by Yunnan University, together with several other Chinese universities in July 2018. It aims to serve as a high-level think tank, carry out regional and country specific research, strengthen its interface with government and enterprises, and promote people-to-people exchanges with countries along the “Belt and Road”. TYUT is a member of the research branch council.
