Huang Qingxue awards the guest professor appointment letter to Atsushi Tsutsumi from the University of Tokyo Japan

On January 20, President Huang Qingxue awarded the guest professor appointment letter to Prof. Atsushi Tsutsumi, director of Collaborative Research Center for Energy Engineering of the University of Tokyo Japan.

 

Huang Qingxue thanked Atsushi Tsutsumi for his attention and support to the work of TYUT over the years, and briefly introduced to him the development of TYUT. Huang Qingxue pointed out that TYUT is now vigorously implementing the internationalization strategy and speeding up its internationalization process. It attaches great importance to conducting extensive and deep-going cooperation with internationally renowned universities especially. TYUT enjoys a solid foundation in the fields of energy, chemical industry, mining, and safety, and has a large team of outstanding scholars represented by academicians, outstanding youth, excellent youth, and Changjiang scholars. Shanxi Province, where TYUT is located, is a big energy and chemicals producer province, and offers a broad space and has a huge demand for scientific and technological innovations. He hoped that the two sides could deepen their cooperation in personnel training, technological innovation and platform construction so as to achieve more fruitful results.

 

Atsushi Tsutsumi briefly introduced his cooperation with TYUT since 2013; and said that “TYUT is an important partner for him. The two sides enjoy a good foundation for cooperation, and the cooperation has so far been very fruitful. And he will continue to expand the area of cooperation with TYUT”.

 

Vice President Liang Weiguo and the heads and/or representatives of disciplines and research groups of the President’s Office, Personnel Division, Science and Technology Research Institute, International Cooperation Division and College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering attended the award ceremony.
