Relevant Subunits,

To further promote the implementation of the internationalization strategy and carry out international cooperation and exchanges in a targeted way, we hereby issue the notice on the submission of the 2019 international conference plans as follows:

1. Relevant subunits should strengthen the administration of international conferences and aim to hold high-level, pragmatic and efficient international conferences. As per relevant regulations, the international conference shall have foreign guests from at least 3 or more countries. The holding of important international conferences (with more than 800 participants and 100 foreign guests or foreign dignitaries attending the conference) shall be reported by Shanxi Provincial Government to State Council for approval. The holding of other international conferences shall be reported to Shanxi Provincial Department of Education or Shanxi Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, where appropriate, for approval. Without approval, no regular annual meetings or rotating meetings with foreign parties shall be held.
2. Relevant subunits should strengthen the management of international conference funds, strictly observe the expenditure standards, and improve the fund use efficiency.
3. International conferences are subject to planned management, and conferences which have not been included in the plan shall not be held. As for the international conferences which have been included in the plan, the concerned subunits shall submit their formal application materials to International Cooperation Division (ICD) 4 to 6 months in advance. ICD will report to relevant authorities for approval on behalf of TYUT. Before approval, no subunit or individual shall take the liberty to hold or undertake to hold any international conference and shall not issue conference notices either.
4. Relevant subunits shall fill in the “2019 TYUT International Conference Plan”, which shall be signed by the leader in charge of the foreign affairs of the subunit, affixed with the subunit seal and scanned into PDF format.

Please send your plan to lisumei@tyut.edu.cn before 18:00 on January 18. ICD will collect all the plans and report to Shanxi Provincial Department of Education after a review by TYUT administration.
