On January 17, Vice President Liang Weiguo met with a delegation led by Saskia Loer Hansen, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Aston University in the UK.

Liang Weiguo pointed out that TYUT had gained a thorough understanding of the internationalization strategy as of now and would step up its efforts to implement the strategy and promote the internationalization of TYUT to a higher level in the following stage. Over the past four years, the two universities have had frequent exchanges, and the relationship between the two universities has become closer and closer. TYUT and Aston have made great achievements in their cooperation in scientific research, exchange of teachers and students, and talent training etc.; and the foundation of the cooperation between the two sides has been steadily consolidated. He hoped that TYUT and Aston would take a bigger step in their cooperation in the future, collaborating with each other in more fields and achieving more fruitful results.

Hansen said that Aston University attaches great importance to cooperation with universities in emerging economies and had listed TYUT as one of its important partners in China. And she is full of confidence in the cooperation between the two sides.

Hansen and her delegation also visited the College of Electrical and Power Engineering and College of Economics and Management to discuss details of the cooperation.
