On the afternoon of March 17, a focused topic meeting on deepening the “Belt and Road” international cooperation was held in conference room 316 of the main administrative building on Yingxi campus. Vice president Liang Weiguo presided over the meeting, and the responsible persons of International Cooperation Division, College of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering, College of Mining Engineering, College of Foreign Languages and College of Aeronautics and Astronautics etc. attended the meeting.
Liang pointed out that certain “Belt and Road” countries are leading the world in a number of scientific fields, such as aeronautics and astronautics, mechanical equipment, mining and so on., which fits exactly the endeavor of Shanxi Province to build an energy revolution pilot and that of TYUT to construct first-class disciplines. In particular, against the backdrop of the “Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Partnership in the New Era” established by the heads of state of China and Russia, certain disciplines of TYUT have been conducting an all-round, wide-ranging and multi-modal efficient and pragmatic cooperation with Moscow Bauman University of Technology, Saint Petersburg University of Mining, and Herzen State Normal University etc. over the past years, and achieved good results. In the next step, TYUT will further implement the “four-as, four-high and two-simultaneously” overall planning and requirements of Shanxi Provincial Party Committee, stick to the concept that “project is king”, and concentrate on building research cooperation platforms and promoting joint talent training programs and cultural exchanges etc. TYUT will stay focused and make unremitting efforts in order to achieve major breakthroughs within a short period of time.
Meeting participants reported progress with their respective disciplinary cooperation programs and latest cooperation ideas.
